Irrefutably the best pop LP you will ever hear. Don’t refute me.

I almost didn’t do this song and had trouble recording it, arranging it, etc. The original is perfect. From a listener’s perspective, appreciating a cover should never be about comparing it to the original, but with a song like this, HOW COULD YOU NOT COMPARE IT TO THE ORIGINAL? The original drum beat is basically the most incredible straight drum beat ever laid to record. His lead and backing vocals are perfect [unlike mine, sorry] and it’s mind numbing he did the main vocal in ONE TAKE.
