‘Deed I Do by Al Lentz
This jazz song was written in 1926 by Fred Rose and Walter Hirsch. The first version I ever heard was by Al Lentz, although I fell in love with the song all over again when hearing the version on the 1976 LP “Chester and Lester.” Also there’s a great funky version by Marvin Gaye and Mary Wells from their 1964 LP “Together.”

Actually, if you were hoping this is the track with Lady Vasas, you are incorrect. Stay tuned for that song is coming later.
Nice hand-clapping. Very accurate, rhythmically, and just the right palmy timbre.
