Daddy’s Song by Harry Nilsson.
Frist released in 1968 as part of the film “Head” by the Monkees. It was slated for release on Nilsson’s 1968 LP “Aerial Ballet” but was removed because of the Monkees’ exclusive rights to the song. It was reinstated on the CD reissue of the album. That is why the intro sounds are heard on both this song, which is track one on the CD, and the next track, “Good Old Desk.”
